Robin Williams was recently quoted as saying that his favorite moment on stage came at the "Laugh Factory," when he and Richard Pryor shared the spotlight. In November of 2006, there was an unfortunate incident at the Laugh Factory, when comedian Michael Richards (who played 'Kramer' on the hit show "Seinfeld") lost it on stage when he was heckled by someone from the audience and began hurling racial epithets at the two men who had insulted him. Suffice it to say, that performance didn't exactly help Richard's career... They tape "Comic Strip Live" here
on Saturdays. (And on Thanksgiving, the club serves free meals to struggling
performers, which is certainly worth a mention.)
