Reeling from the traffic stop incident, the woman's
(Terrence Howard) confronts the police
who have pulled him
over (following another carjacking attempt by Ludacris), and
comes very close to getting his head blown off.
This standoff was filmed on a cul-de-sac
at the north end of
Costello Ave, in a residential neighborhood near Studio City.
The house he parks in front of (the one with the Christmas mural
on the garage) is located at 5177 Costello Ave,
in Sherman Oaks.
After the confrontation, Terrence
Howard drops off Ludacris,
and tells him he's an embarrassment. This drop-off scene was shot
on Rhodes Ave (the same street where
Matt Dillon first spotted
Howard's car), but north of Ventura Blvd,
near Ventura Court.)
When trying to sell the Asian man's stolen
discovers that the van is full of smuggled Cambodian
immigrants. Instead of selling them to the scummy
owner of the chop shop, he sets them free in Chinatown.
That scene was shot on Ord
Street (between Broadway and
New High Street) in L.A.'s actual Chinatown.
