Q.
Where is it supposed to be on the show?
A. In New York City.

Q. When did we see it on the show?
A. In Episode 5 of Season One of Resurrection.
After their date at the bowling alley,
Mia (a sommelier, in addition to being a serial killer) invites Dexter
to join her later tonight at a new wine bar she has found. He accepts.
She also surprises him by proposing a menage a trois; not of the usual sexual kind, but rather that they should share a killing together.
Later, at the wine bar, she teaches him a bit
more about sampling wine, and they exchange a few more bits of
information about there histories.
He reveals that he grew up in Miami.

But
Dexter is truly shocked when she tells him that her Lady Vengeance
reputation for only killing sexual predators is undeserved. She says
that she actually kills simply because she enjoys killing, and that most
of her victims are innocent men.
Since
she had originally appeared to have a code similar to his own, Dexter
had thought that he might have found a partner in Mia. But this
revelation changes everything. She suddenly fits Harry's code, and
Dexter goes out to his car in the parking lot to retrieve his M99 needle...
Q. What is it actually in real life?
A. A cocktail lounge.
Q.
Where can I find it in real life?
A. Although this wine bar and the cocktail lounge we see later (where, later, Mia picks up her victim) seem like
two different places, both of these scenes were shot in the same
cocktail lounge. ( They just managed to keep the background blurred, and
a yellow filter in place in this wine bar scene, so that you wouldn't
really notice the similarities. )
So rather than repeat here everything I have already written about the cocktail lounge location,
rather than repeat myself, I'll just direct you to the page about that
cocktail lounge, so that you can read all about it there. Just click here.

Q. How the heck did you figure out where it was?
A. It took me a
long time to figure out that this wine bar scene was shot in the same
cocktail lounge where they filmed the scene of Lady Vengeance picking up
her victim.
It
wasn't until I used Photoshop to enhance the brief opening shot of the
wine bar, that I saw the distinctive blue quilted ceiling:

And realized that it perfectly matched unique ceiling from this photo,
taken from the cocktail lounges own website:
Once I knew that, I
took another close look at the screencaps from this wine bar scene and
saw that there was enough evidence (in addition to the unusual blue
ceiling) to indicate that it was indeed the same location.
