Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. and Bvlgari Host the World Premiere of ``The Thomas Crown Affair''

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. and contemporary Italian jeweler Bvlgari present the world premiere of the romantic thriller ``The Thomas Crown Affair,'' starring Pierce Brosnan, Rene Russo and Denis Leary.

Brosnan stars as Thomas Crown, a self-made billionaire who, seeking new challenges, steals a world-famous Monet and then falls in love with the brilliant female investigator (Russo) assigned to catch him.

Produced by Brosnan and Beau St. Clair, ``The Thomas Crown Affair'' is directed by John McTiernan, who helmed such blockbusters as ``Die Hard,'' ``Die Hard: With A Vengeance'' and ``The Hunt For Red October.'' The screenplay is by Leslie Dixon & Kurt Wimmer, story by Alan R. Trustman.

Bvlgari's association with ``The Thomas Crown Affair'' is a natural one, as the film pulsates with a luxurious sensibility. In the film, Brosnan's character presents Russo's character with an important Bvlgari jewel, a white gold necklace with oval diamonds, each weighing more than 1 carat and surrounded by close to 600 round diamonds. In the scenes that follow, Russo's character is seen wearing the necklace.
