Pokemania Takes Over Westwood:
Pikachu and Live Music by Dream Street, Youngstown and More, to Celebrate U.S. Premiere of Kids WB! Presents ``Pokemon the Movie 2000''

Kel Mitchell of Nickelodeon's "All That" to Host

WHO: Everyone's favorite Pokemon, PIKACHU, will lead the festivities along with pop bands DREAM STREET, YOUNGSTOWN, NOBODY'S ANGEL, and teen singing sensation ALYSHA; the movie's American director, MICHAEL HAIGNEY, American producer, NORMAN J. GROSSFELD; plus celebrity guests, including DAVID GALLAGHER and KEL MITCHELL, and three of the most brightly decorated special Pikachu ``beetle'' cars you've ever seen -- on display.

WHAT: The U.S. Premiere of "Pokemon The Movie 2000," the second big-screen animated adventure based on the hit TV series and video game. This time, Pokemon trainer Ash Ketchum and his friends face their greatest challenge ever...saving the world.

A half-hour before the screening, guests will be treated to a live stage show hosted by Kel Mitchell (``All That'') and featuring some of the film's soundtrack artists performing songs written especially for ``Pokemon the Movie 2000.'' Pop bands Youngstown and Nobody's Angel will collaborate on ``Pokemon World,'' rising star Alysha will perform ``Dreams,'' and Teen band Dream Street will sing ``They Don't Understand.''

Highlights from the show will be filmed for inclusion in ``The Power of One: The Pokemon 2000 Movie Special,`` airing July 16 at 8:00 p.m. on The WB.

David Gallagher (``7th Heaven'') will then introduce some real-life hero kids who have truly demonstrated the film's message, ``the power of one,'' by personally making a difference in their own communities.
