After taking a wrong turn on a White House tour, witless teens Betsy Jobs (Kirsten Dunst) and Arlene Lorenzo (Michelle Williams) stumble across a room packed full of presidential secrets.

In an effort to find out what exactly the girls know, the Commander-in-Chief -- ``Tricky Dick'' Nixon (Dan Hedaya) himself -- appoints them as official White House dog walkers. Suddenly and accidentally, the two girls are swept up in the political intrigue of the world's most famous break-in: Watergate.

As the clueless duo are plunged deeper into their Washington adventure, not even all the president's men can stop Betsy and Arlene from unwittingly changing the course of history forever.

Andrew Fleming (``The Craft,'' ``Threesome'') directs two of Hollywood's most prominent and promising young stars along with a host of comedy veterans from a screenplay he co-wrote with Sheryl Longin. Gale Anne Hurd (``Armageddon,'' ``The Terminator,'' ``The Abyss'') is the producer and David Coatsworth serves as executive producer.

Director of photography Alexander Gruszynski, production designer Barbara Dunphy and costume designer Deborah Everton faithfully recreate the look and feel of Washington in the early '70s. The film is edited by Mia Goldman.

Kirsten Dunst (``Interview With the Vampire'') and Michelle Williams (television's ``Dawson's Creek'') star as Betsy and Arlene, the teenagers who finally set the record straight. Along the way, they'll be stonewalled by the likes of Nixon himself, as well as Chief of Staff Bob Haldeman (Dave Foley), the mysterious G. Gordon Liddy (Harry Shearer), National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger (Saul Rubinek) and turncoat Presidential Counsel John Dean (Jim Breuer).

Benefiting from the girls' efforts -- and taking all the credit for the resulting unprecedented presidential resignation -- are intrepid Washington Post investigative reporters Bob Woodward (Will Ferrell) and Carl Bernstein (Bruce McCulloch).

The cast is rounded out by veteran actors G. D. Spradlin, who portrays Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee, and Teri Garr as Arlene's mother, Helen. Also appearing are Devon Gummersall (``My So Called Life''), Ted McGinley (``Married With Children'') and Ryan Reynolds (``2 Guys, A Girl and a Pizza Place'').

``DICK'' opens on August 4.
