ADVISORY/Greatest Movie of All Time Has World Premiere -- Again! 1941 World Premiere of ``Citizen Kane'' to Be Re-created at the El Capitan Theatre

On Thursday, Sept. 20, Famous Faces From Past and Present Will Arrive
  at Special Event in Period Cars at Event Dressed in Forties Style

WHO:     Celebrity look-alikes Bette Davis ("Dark Victory"), James
         Stewart ("Philadelphia Story"), Humphrey Bogart ("Maltese
         Falcon") and Joan Crawford ("Rain"), and real-life
         celebrities Robert Wise (Oscar-winning director who edited
         "Citizen Kane"), Peter Bogdanovich (director and Welles
         biographer), Roger Ebert (movie critic and "Citizen Kane"
         commentator), Debbie Allen ("Fame"), Elliott Gould
         ("M*A*S*H"), Dennis Hopper ("Apocalypse Now"), Stacy Keach
         ("Titus"), John Landis ("The Blues Brothers"), Jack Klugman
         ("The Odd Couple"), Donna Mills ("Knots Landing"), Alan
         Thicke ("Growing Pains"), Bruce Davison ("crazy/beautiful"),
         Samaire Armstrong ("Not Another Teen Movie"), Shaune Bagwell
         ("October 22"), Joseph Cacia ("Spyder Games"), Jennifer
         Gareis ("Boat Trip") and Nectar Rose ("Spyder Games").

WHAT:    Warner Home Video and the AFI will celebrate the DVD debut
         of "Citizen Kane," Orson Welles' classic motion picture, by
         re-creating the film's actual premiere at the El Capitan
         Theatre just as it took place 60 years ago on May 9, 1941.
         Stars from the past and present will arrive in antique cars
         at the theater and walk the red carpet under a replica of the
         original marquee. The themed party will be decorated with all
         the '40s glitz and glamour to re-create the premiere event at
         the place where it all began.

WHEN:    Thursday, Sept. 20
         5:45 p.m. arrivals for 6 p.m. reception
         7:30 p.m. screening

WHERE:   El Capitan Theatre & Entertainment Center
         6838 Hollywood Blvd.
         South side of Hollywood Boulevard, just west of Highland Ave.

                About "Citizen Kane" & the DVD Release

Long regarded as the greatest movie of all time, "Citizen Kane" has
been breathtakingly restored in a 60th Anniversary Double Disc Edition
packed with extras, including the Oscar-nominated documentary "The
Battle Over Citizen Kane," chronicling Welles' fight with publishing
czar William Randolph Hearst. The DVD debuts nationwide on Sept. 25.

Heralded as the No. 1 movie of all time on "AFI's 100 Years...100
Movies" list, this classic's DVD will feature a breathtakingly
restored picture and audio and digitally remastered video from the
highest-quality surviving elements, along with a variety of extras.

Starring, produced, directed and co-written by Welles, "Citizen Kane"
was nominated for nine Academy Awards(R), winning the Oscar(R) for
Best Screenplay.
