MGM Pictures presents the world premiere of BARBERSHOP

Barbershop is an ensemble comedy about a day at a barbershop on the south side of Chicago.  Calvin (Ice Cube) inherited the struggling business from his father but sees it as a burden and waste of time.  After selling the shop to a loan shark, however, Calvin begins to see his father's vision and legacy - and struggles with the notion that he just sold it out.  Calvin's Barbershop is a gathering place for an eclectic, comic cast of characters.  Eddie (Cedric the Entertainer) is an old-time barber with a big mouth, strong opinions, and no customers.  College student Jimmy (Sean Patrick Thomas) has a superiority complex and can't stand Isaac (Troy Garity), the white barber who just wants a shot at cutting some hair.  Ricky (Michael Ealy) is an ex-con with two strikes against him who's trying to stay straight, and Terri (rap star Eve) is a hard-edged woman who can't seem to leave her two-timing boyfriend.  An all-star cast comes together to tell a story of laughter, community, and haircuts.
