The Southern California locations where Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is filmed.
About 11 minutes into the episode, we see Melinda May hitting golf balls with her father, at what appears to be a driving range. A caption tells us it is "Sun City, Arizona". It is not. Yes, relaxing with a game of golf seems atypical for May, but it seems she has taken time off from S.H.I.E.L.D., and is visiting her father, seeking a more normal life. Her father hurt his hip in an accident, and needs therapy, so May uses that as an excuse to get away and reassess her situation with S.H.I.E.L.D. This was an easy one for me to identify, because just a few months ago, I spotted it in two different TV series in the same week: "Stitchers" and "True Detective". This is an estate is known as Hummingbird Nest Ranch, and you'll find it at 2940 Kuehner Drive, in Santa Susanna, CA. That's in the mountains above the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway, about three miles northwest of Chatsworth. Sitting on 123 acres, the estate has 57 bedrooms and 40 baths, (but that includes the 16 guest houses, in addition to the main mansion). The estate was up for sale recently at the tidy sum of $49,500,000. Not surprisingly, the estate is often used as a wedding site, and for other events that require a special setting - in addition to filming, of course. When "The Big Bang Theory"'s Kaley Cuoco got married, on New Years Eve 2014, she chose this unique spot for the ceremony. They have their own website at www.hummingbirdnestranch.com This is as close as Google StreetView can get to the location. The photos on this
