This house is actually located at 1037 Buena Vista Street, in South Pasadena, CA. That's just north of the Pasadena (110) Freeway, where Buena Vista Street meets Fairview Ave. Here is a matching Google StreetView of the house. ![]() [ Warning: This is a private home. The long hedge that the kangaroo (and Dad) jump over is between 918 & 928 Buena Vista Street.
Here is a matching Google StreetView of that hedge. ![]() ![]() 0:06:35: The high school attended by the older brother, Anthony... ...is actually the John Marshall Fundamental Secondary School, at 990 Allen Avenue, in Pasadena, CA. That's about two miles northeast of the family home. Here is a matching Google StreetView of the school. ![]() ![]() It gets a bit more complicated when it comes to Alexander's middle school. They actually used two different schools for it, and (get this) one of them was also named John Marshall, but it wasn't the same John Marshall school... George Ellery Hale Middle School, at 23830 Califa Street, in Woodland Hills, CA. It's one of the few times the production left the Pasadena area. And this time they went a long way. Woodland Hills is at the west end of the San Fernando Valley, a good 30 miles west of Pasadena. Here is a Google StreetView of that school. ![]() But in other scenes of Alexander's school, including his first arrival there (at 0:07:30), they used a completely different school: ![]() John Marshall Middle School, at 5870 E. Wardlow Road, in Long Beach, CA. But don't confuse this John Marshall in Long Beach with the other John Marshall, in Pasadena. They're two separate schools, a good 30 miles south apart.
