THE GRAVE OF ACTRESS MARY FRANN
(who portrayed Bob Newhart's wife,
Joanna, on the sitcom "Newhart")
at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, California
The epitaph reads:
"...And when you need me, just whisper my name
in your heart, and I will be there."
UPDATE:
In 2018, Stacey S. emailed me to let me know that Mary Frann's marker
had been replaced with a new one. You don't see that happen very often,
but in this case, it was done to remove the name of her fiance (at the time
of her death), John E. Cookman. He was alive at the time of her death, and
had planned to be buried with her when his own time came. Apparently,
that changed, so her new marker carries only her name
(and a shorter version of the original epitaph).
