DEXTER: Resurrection Filming Locations - the actual places where the TV show Dexter: Resurrection was filmed.

The Location
: Angel Batista & Teddy talking in Iron Lake Diner.

Q. What is it supposed to be on the show?

A. A small town diner.

Q. Where is it supposed to be on the show?

A.  In Iron Lake, NY.

Q. When did we see it on the show?
A. We see this location in Episode 2 of Season 1 of Resurrection

After a tense encounter with Angel Batista, Dexter has abruptly left Iron Lake, after awakening from a 10-week coma at the Seneca Nation clinic.

Not surprisingly, this has aroused Angel's suspicions, so in this scene he is talking to the acting chief of police at Iron Lake, deputy Teddy Reed. They are sitting at a table in a local diner in Iron Lake, as Angel tries to find out more about how Dexter was able to leave town so quickly, and how he might be able to go about finding out where he went.

But Teddy isn't exactly a fountain of information. He's a nice but rather naive young officer, who knew Dexter Morgan as Jim Lindsay during his time in Iron Lake, and he still thinks of Dexter as “Jim” and still considers him a friendly guy who everyone liked.

Teddy tells Angel that Dexter was free to leave anytime he wanted, since he wasn't under arrest. and he sympathizes with “Jim”, who from Teddy's perspective, has been through a lot, being falsely accused of murder and then shot by his ex-girlfriend Angela. Teddy muses that wherever he is, Dexter must be miserable. (Cut to a brief shot of Dexter at the hotel lobby bar, heartily enjoying his cheeseburgers.)

Angel does his best to conceal his growing frustration with Teddy.

He asks the deputy if it's possible for him be notified if Dexter's truck shows up somewhere, and Teddy tells him that yes, he can do that.

Angel says that he might as well go back to Miami until something turns up.  Teddy offers to drive him to the airport in the morning, and eagerly says that first they can stop at the diner for pancakes.

Q. What is it actually in real life?

A. A small town cafe.

Q. Where can I find it in real life?

A. This is the Noble Cafe, located at 641 Main Street, in Sparkill, New York.

It's at the southeast corner of Main Street & Union Street.

Sparkill is a hamlet of Orangetown, located in upstate New York, about 28 miles north of Manhattan.

For Dexter: Resurrection, Sparkill replaced Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, as the real-world location of the fictional Iron Lake, NY, and most of the Iron Lake scenes in Resurrection were shot in or around Sparkill.

The Noble Cafe appears to be a surprisingly good little spot for such a small town, and has been getting very good reviews since it opened.  It specializes in coffee, tea, and fresh pastries, but also offers lunch items.

Q. How the heck did you figure out where it was?

A. This was actually one of the first filming locations that I learned about for Dexter: Resurrection

Way back in February 2025, just a month after the show started filming, I came across an article in a local newspaper saying that Dexter:  Resurrection was shooting a scene at the Noble Cafe, and that they had transformed the cafe into a diner for the scene.

This actually proved very helpful later. Given the rural nature of Sparkill, I assumed that they were probably shooting the Iron Lake scenes there, so that's the first place I looked when I needed to find other Iron Lake locations. If I hadn't found this early article, I might have had no idea where to start looking for those locations, in a state as large as New York.
