Q.
What is it supposed to be on the show?
A. A college.
Q.
Where is it supposed to be on the show?
A. In New York City.

Q. When did we see it on the show?
A. In Episode 7 of Season One of Resurrection.
At Elsa's suggestion, Harrison visits the Collings College of Criminology, to look into a possible career in law enforcement.
Dexter is supposed to meet him for a tour of
the school, but when his father is late to arrive, Harrison meets an
attractive tour guide named Gigi, and starts the tour without him.
At the end of the tour, there is an opportunity to audit a class in
forensics, which Harrison takes. But he is shocked when he enters the
classroom and sees that the guest lecturer that day is none other than
Detective Claudette Wallace, the same NYPD cop who considers Harrison a
suspect in Ryan's murder.
During the class, Dexter finally arrives and joins Harrison, something that is noticed by the detective.
They listen to her lecture, which focuses around the New York Ripper, including a display of very gory images of that serial killer's victims.
After the class, Det. Wallace approaches Harrison and Dexter, expressing
her surprise that Harrison is interested in law enforcement.
Dexter can't resist showing her up by
pointing out that the blood spatter images she has shown don't indicate
the kind of weapon (a crowbar) that she had thought, but rather appear
to show the results of a weapon with a handle and a point, such as a
hook.
Afterward, Harrison flirts with Gigi, while Dexter visits the gift shop and ends up buying an overpriced Proud Dad hat.
The College of Criminology shows up again in Episode 8, where Harrison
meets Gigi outside, in front of the school, and they arrange a date.
Q. What is it actually in real life?
A. A School of Law.
Q.
Where can I find it in real life?
A. This is actually the New York Law School, located at 185 W. Broadway, in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York.
That's at the southeast corner of Broadway & Leonard.
( If you look closely, you can see the number 185 on the glass windows in front of the college, during the exterior scenes.)
It appears that both the exteriors and the lobby interior scenes were shot at the law school.
But
they faked it when it came to that large lecture hall where Harrison
and Dexter listen to Detective Wallace speak. It looks like that lecture hall was actually at Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business,
at 140 W 62nd St, New York, which is five miles north of the
law school. (And ironically, only half a block away from Harrison's hotel.)
Resurrection filmed a number of different scenes in Tribeca this season. This law school is only a short distance from the two subway entrances seen on the show, as well as Mia's apartment (where she is arrested), the spot where Dexter drops off a passenger, and the steakhouse restaurant where Prater surprises Dexter & Harrison.
But while creating the page, I got a little
suspicious about that lecture hall. So I decided to check, and ran
a screencap of that lecture hall through Google Images, and it
instantly turned up multiple matching images identified as
Fordham University.
Here is a matching StreetView of New York Law School:
Here is an aerial
photo of the location. And here is a map
link.

Q. How the heck did you figure out where it was?
A. Back in May, I had found paparazzi photos of them filming this scene in Tribeca, and the street number 185 was clearly visible on the front of the building.
When I took a chance
that it might actually be a college, and googled for: college, Tribeca,
185 The New York Law School was the first thing to pop up in the
search results.
StreetView then revealed it to be the same place as seen in the photos, and
when it showed up in Episode 7, it was more than obvious.
But
I got a little suspicious about that lecture hall, so I decided to
check, and ran a screencap of that wide-angle shot through Google Images
and it immediately turned up numerous matching photos of Fordham University.
