Alas, Sal's pharmacy went out of business, and Sal has retired.
The address now houses a Great Earth Vitamin store.

I'll leave the page up for a while, but keep in mind that the article below was written when Sal's was still open and doing business. They are now closed.

Even stars get headaches, right? And since Schwab's closed down, it looks like Sal's Pharmacy may have inherited the title of "drug store to the stars."

Situated in a nondescript mini-mall in West Hollywood, it sure doesn't look like a celebrity hangout, but Los Angeles Magazine reports that the store's regulars include:

comic/actor Jerry Seinfeld, talk show host & actor Arsenio Hall, leading man Roy Scheider ("Jaws"), actor Jack Klugman ("The Odd Couple") and actress Jennifer Jason Leigh ("Single White Female").

Getting there: Located on Santa Monica Blvd., at King's Road.From Rodeo Drive, go north to Santa Monica, Blvd., turnright, and go about four miles northeast, to three blocks past La Cienega. The store is in a mini-mall on the left (northwest) side of the street.
