The actual Southern California locations where the 2010 movie "Valentine's Day" was filmed. Part 1 This star-studded romantic comedy features a host of famous names as it follows a single day (Valentine's Day) in the life of more than 20 people living in Los Angeles. The opening shot of the film, behind the credits. is a twilight aerial view approaching the Santa Monica Pier from the north. The Santa Monica Pier is located at the beach, at the west end of Colorado Ave, in Santa Monica, CA. Here is a Google StreetView panorama.           (This is followed by a number of quick shots of L.A., including Dodger Stadium.) The scene above, of the kayak paddling under the bridge,was shot at the Venice canals, in Venice, CA. This is just before the scene cuts to an interior shot: the bedroom of Ashton Kutcher. Ashton's blue victorian house (seen to the left of the bridge) is at 2604 Grand Canal, in Venice, while the yellow home (to the right of the bridge) is at 2606 Grand Canal. The city of Venice is located north of Marina Del Rey and south of Santa Monica. The kiss on the bridge, with Jennifer Garner, seen below, was shot at the same Venice location. [ Warning: this is a private home.  Do not trespass on their property, knock on their door, or do anything else that might disturb the residents. ].           Early on, we see Ashton Kutcher buy flowers for girlfriend Jessica Alba at a large flower market, and we see TV reporter Jamie Fox do a live "man on the street" broadcast from the same location. This is actually the Los Angeles Flower Market, located at 754 Wall Street, in the warehouse district, on the east side of downtown L.A. Here is a Google StreetView panorama.           Before the scene showing Jennifer Garner in bed and (doctor) Patrick Dempsy getting dressed, the camera pans up the exterior of their tall apartment building. That building is actually the Grand Tower, at 255 S. Grand Ave, in downtown Los Angeles. Here is a Google StreetView panorama.           In the scene above, we see a guy pulling up the roll-up metal door in front of this shop, opening for the day - right before the scene featuring Anne Hathaway and Topher Grace in bed. The roll-up door bears the large image of actor Orson Welles (an amateur magician in his spare time). This is the front of Hollywood Magic Inc at 6614 Hollywood Blvd, in Hollywood, CA. (That's about four blocks east of Hollywood & Highland.) Here is a Google StreetView panorama.           Ashton Kutcher's 'Sienna Bouquet' flower shop plays a big role in the movie. It's where the kid orders flowers for his teacher (from Ashton), and where cheater Patrick Dempsy orders flowers for both his wife and his unsuspecting lover (Ashton's friend, Jennifer Garner) Although the number in the screencap above would lead you to believe that the address is 2173 - it's not. Like the sign overhead, the numbers above the door are fake. This was actually an empty storefront (a former print shop) located at 3100 Magnolia Blvd, in Burbank, CA, at the SW corner of Magnolia & Fairview Street. Here is a Google StreetView panorama.           In the scene above, Hector Elizondo drives around with his grandson (Bryce Robinson) who has a hopeless crush on his teacher (Jennifer Garner). They appear to be driving on Van Nuys Blvd, between Victory Blvd & Moorpark Street, in North Hollywood and Van Nuys. Or at least, that's what the scenery we see passing by would lead us to believe... We see, for instance, D.W. Interiors pass by, at 6205 Van Nuys Blvd, in Van Nuys. (Here is a Google StreetView panorama.) Then we see them arrive at the corner of Van Nuys Blvd & Moorpark, in Sherman Oaks. (Here is a Google StreetView panorama.) But the real truth is that the scene is a fake. They aren't really driving at all. They are in a prop car, and the scenery we see outside the windows is merely a clever studio trick.           Topher Grace and his friends work in the mailroom of a large company. Before going inside, we first see the exterior of his workplace (above). It's actually the new CAA building at 2000 Avenue of the Stars, in Century City. That's the Creative Artist Agency, one of the biggest actors' agencies in Hollywood. (The large, glass building is jokingly referred to as "The Death Star") The famous twin towers of the Century City are visible through the opening in the building. The fountains (below) are on Avenue of the Stars. The later, interior scene of Topher Grace and his friends pushing mail carts in a hallway was filmed inside the same CAA building.. ( And the scene between Eric Dane and Jessica Biel having a business lunch with Queen Latifah, was shot outdoors behind the same CAA building. ) Here is a Google StreetView panorama.           In the screencap above, we see Eric Dane's Malibu beach home. He's seen running on the beach, then walking up to his house. This house is located at 22432 Pacific Coast Highway, on the beach in Malibu, just east of the Malibu Pier. (This is also where Jamie Fox later intrudes into her office.) The white building seen outside her window is 915 Wilshire, another 22-story office building. Here is a Google StreetView panorama.           Emma Roberts' high school ("Henderson High"), where Emma shocks a teacher by telling her that she's going to have sex for the first time, is actually University High School, located at 11800 Texas Ave, in West Los Angeles (just south of Brentwood). Emma also seen at the school talking with friend Taylor Swift (with giant stuffed bear, below), who is seen flirting with her boyfriend, Taylor Lautner, and showing off for a news camera. The school entrance, seen in the top photo, is at the corner of Texas Ave & Westgate Ave. The other outdoor scenes are filmed on the quad and the athletic fields behind the school. Here is a Google StreetView panorama.           In the scene above, Eric Dane gets into an accident with George Lopez, near a memorable building Eric is seen driving north on Grand Ave, just south of 2nd Street, near the dramatic Walt Disney Concert Hall, just before he rear-ends George Lopez's van. The Walt Disney Concert Hall, is at 111 S. Grand Ave, in downtown Los Angeles. (At the start of the pan that leads to this scene, we first see the Los Angeles City Hall.) The key here is across the street, where we can see the address 18821 on an apartment building. This is none other than the same University High, where they shot Emma's school scenes. The address (in case you forgot already) is 11800 Texas Ave, in West Los Angeles. Here is a Google StreetView panorama.           Ashton Kutcher hurries to the airport, to warn his friend, driving George's tricked-out Chevy. In the scene above, he is heading south on Sepulveda Blvd, just north of La Tijera Blvd, in the Westchester neighborhood of Los Angeles. You can tell that it's close to LAX, since we see one of the many incoming planes flying low over Sepulveda.
