The actual locations where the TV show Teen Wolf is filmed |
Lydia's Lake House In Episode 4 ("The Benefactor"), Scott is dealing with the fact that he recently bit a new kid, Liam Dunbar, and Liam's going to turn into a werewolf for the first time at the next full moon. In hopes of teaching him how to control the difficult transformation, Scott's gang persuade Kira to invite Liam to a fake party at a lake house owned by Lydia's mother. When Liam gets there (with Kira), he realizes there is no party, only an intervention of sorts, as he finds Scott, Lydia, Malia and Stiles waiting for him inside. He doesn't take kindly to the situation. Unfortunately, word has gotten out about a party at Lydia's lake house, so a crowd of Beacon Hill students turn up at the front door, and Lydia has to suddenly improvise a party. Scott & Kira chain up Liam in the boathouse (on the lake below the main house), while Stiles chains up werecoyote Malia (who is also about to transform) in the basement. Stiles manages to keep Malia under control, but Scott & Kira have less luck with Liam. He breaks free of his chains and escapes into the woods. He is eventually captured there (with the aid of Chris Argent), and reverts to his human form. This house is not really sitting on top of a hill. In fact, it's actually located at the base of some low foothills. And it's nowhere near a lake. All of that is just CGI, including the lakehouse. But the main house itself is very real. You'll find it at 2470 Stokes Canyon Road, in Calabasas, California. lt's actually in the mountains north of Malibu and south of Calabasas, an area once filled with movie ranches, and still home to quite a few of them. In fact, the house is only two miles northeast of the ranch where they currently film another popular TV horror series, "True Blood". [ Warning: This is a private home. Do not trespass on their property, knock on their door, or do anything else to disturb the residents. ] Here is a Google StreetView of the house (or at least part of it): Here is an aerial photo. And here is a map link. |
