Skye believes that the key to finding him is to trace Vanchat's finances
by hacking into his account, and following the money trail to Centipede's location.

But temporary boss Victoria Hand is having none of it, and orders Skye to be locked down.

But with a little help from Ward and Fitz-Simmons, Skye goes rogue and begins a solo mission to find Coulson.

We first see Skye sitting at a computer in a cyber café (CyberCoffee)

She's typing with one hand while keeping her other hand behind her back, to prevent
the S.H.I.E.L.D. security bracelet on her wrist from shutting down the computer.

When she tries to log in to a banking site, the bracelet
locks down all the computers in the cafe.   So she leaves.

Outside, she stops at a newsstand, where she picks up a copy of Wealth & Capital magazine,
and spots a story about Lloyd Rathman, a wealth manager who is under investigation for opening
Swiss bank accounts to help his clients avoid taxes.  She sees him as her way in.

Skye then spots a leather jacket in a window - the kind often worn by Melinda May - and gets an idea.

This cybercafé scene was shot inside "Great Steak" fast food/sandwich restaurant
located at 1070 Wilshire Blvd, in downtown Los Angeles.

That's in a storefront on the ground level of the Glo Apartments building, at the SW corner of Wilshire & Bixel.

  That's right across Bixel Street (west of) from the rooftop tower where Vanchat was busted.

Next, we see Lloyd Rathman as he gets out of his SUV at a valet parking spot,
and goes into an office building.



Pretending to talk on a cell phone, Skye nonchalantly slides into Rathman's SUV and drives away...



This scene was shot on the south side entrance of the 33-story office tower at 1055 7th Street
(on the north side of 7th), in downtown L.A. - just west of the 110 (Harbor) Freeway.

Originally known as ARCO Tower when it was built in 1988,
it is now called "1055 West Seventh".

Once alone in the car, Skye tries to use the GPS/mapping system in the stolen
SUV to direct her back to Rathman's home, but once again, her SHIELD bracelet
interferes and shuts down the system.

So she takes drastic steps to find Rathman's house.  She deliberately smashes the SUV
into a center divider, at high speed, which triggers the vehicle's emergency roadside assistance response.
She then has the tow truck they dispatch take her back to Rathman's home - where she lies in wait for him.

Like the previous two scenes, this car crash scene was also shot on the west side of downtown L.A.
In the scene, Skye is heading east/southeast on the 1100 block of W. 4th Street, about to cross
Beaudry Avenue. The crash happens at the intersection of 4th & Beaudry.

The water barrels she hits are on the center divider at the 4th Street fork, just west of the Harbor (110) freeway.

At that fork, 4th Street (which is a one-way street, heading east) splits in two, with the
right half leading down to Flower Street, while the left half continues east through downtown.

After the accident, Skye moves on to Lloyd Rathman's house,
and then to an atomic ghost town in the desert, where she rescues Coulson.
