Episode 5: “What on Earth Is Wrong?”
0:05:24: We see a John and a search team looking for the missing Ethan & Molly
in woods of Vaspar Island (not knowing she has been abducted).
They shot this scene at the Cedar Grove forest, in L.A.'s Griffith Park.
Griffith Park is the largest urban park in the U.S., and is located about three miles
northeast of Hollywood and about six miles northwest of downtown L.A.
This is the same forest used in "E.T.", and many other Hollywood productions.

0:17:23: Molly & John go to her friend Sam's house, and tell her what happened.
tries to convince them that Molly is having mental problems and needs help.
As a result, John begins to doubt Molly's sanity.
This house is located at 2369 N. Vermont Ave, in the
Los Feliz section of Los Angeles (near Griffith Park)

0:10:11: Both Molly and Ethan are taken to MedPlex Metro hospital.
We see Julie looking out a window, waiting for news about Ethan.
John enters, carrying the unconscious Ethan in his arms.
He tells Julie that the young android apparently shut down when he sensed a fall in the woods.
(Actually, agents from ISEA / Yasumoto Corp. attacked & abducted both the boy and Molly.)
He tells her that his core is still active and that he will be OK. He hands the boy to Julie.
They filmed this scene in the new addition to the Leo F. Cain Library,
on the campus of Cal-State University Dominguez Hills.
The address of the University is 1000 E. Victoria Street, in Carson, CA.
The City of Carson lies about 18 miles south of downtown Los Angeles,
between Long Beach (on the east) and Torrance (on the west).
In the top screencap, she is looking south out the library's rear windows.
( I believe the earlier scene of Molly arriving at MedPlex on a stretcher,
with John at her side, was also filmed in the same building. )
After she gets the shocking results (the baby's father wasn't human), we John & Molly talking
in a parked car. The evidence has convinced John that there is a conspiracy, and they
agree that, to get to the truth, she will have to play dumb and spy on ISEA from within.
In the screencap below, you can see a somewhat futuristic building behind their parked car:
That building is the Loker Student Union, also on the campus of
Cal-State University Dominguez Hills, in Carson, CA.
It is three buildings north of the Library where they shot the earlier scene.
The car is parked next to the lawn immediately north of the
student union, with the camera looking southwest.
