So, where is the main house from "Weeds"?  Nancy Botwin's family home?

You'll find it at 26885 Chaucer Place, in Stevenson Ranch, CA.

Stevenson Ranch is a master-planned community in the Santa Clarita area,
about 2 miles southwest of Six Flags Magic Mountain, and
about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.

(The neighborhood was also seen in the 1998 movie "Pleasantville".)

Here is an aerial photo of the house. Here is a map link.

And here is a Google StreetView panorama of the house.

Warning: This is a private home.  Do not trespass on their property,
knock on their door, or do anything else that might disturb the residents!

Now lets examine the opening credits, scene by scene...

The first thing we see is an aerial map of the Weeds suburb,
which then morphs into an aerial photo of the same area.

What we see is the map of a very real suburb.

But ironically, it's not the same suburb where you'll find Nancy's house.

This is actually the city of Calabasas, California.
(about 20 miles southwest of Stevenson Ranch)

To be more precise, the widest street, at the top, is Parkway Calabasas, while the
looping, U-shaped street that surrounds the neighborhood is
Paseo Primario.

Here's an actual aerial map of that suburb.

Next, we see the entrance to the fictional community of Agrestic,
featuring a
sign and fountain.

The name may be fake, but that sign/fountain is very real.

You'll find it at the west/northwest corner of
Stevenson Ranch Parkway & Holmes Place,
at Stevenson Ranch, CA.

( Yes, we're back to the neighborhood with Nancy's home. These opening
credits mix scenes from both Stevenson Ranch and Calabasas. )

And as you might expect, the sign really reads "Stevenson Ranch", not "Agrestic".

Here is an aerial photo of the fountain/sign. Here is a map view.

And here is a matching Google StreetView panorama.

Next, we see a shot of guys jogging in a park - with houses up on a hill behind them.

That shot was filmed in Rioux Memorial Park,
near the center of the Stevenson Ranch neighborhood.

(It's west of that Agrestic sign, and east of Nancy's house.)

The full official name is Dr. Richard H. Rioux Memorial Park,
and the street address is
26233 Faulkner Drive, Stevenson Ranch, CA.

The doctor ran the two largest drug & alcohol rehabilitation centers
in the Antelope Valley, which, given the plot of this show, seems appropriate.

I believe the houses we see up on the hill are at the northeast end of
Clifton Place, which means the camera is looking west/northwest.

Here is an aerial photo of the park. And here's a map link.

Next, we look down on a suburban street, where the houses have red-tile roofs.

This is the intersection of Kavenaugh Lane & Singer Place, in Stevenson Ranch

The camera is looking northeast up Singer Place.

(That shot is quickly followed by a similar view, which - not surprisingly - was shot just
northeast of the first one, at the intersection of the same Singer Place & Hawes Way.)

Here is an aerial photo of both locations.

And here's a Google StreetView panorama matching that first shot.

Next, we see a line of coffee-drinking executives coming out of the
"
It's a Grind Coffee House".

Now, there are several actual "It's a Grind"s out there, but don't
bother Googling the name, because this isn't one of them.

This is actually a Starbucks, located at 26531 Agoura Road, in Calabasas.

It's in a small shopping center named Creekside Village, just south
of the Ventura Freeway. at Las Virgenes & Agoura Roads.

That's about 2 1/2 miles west of that suburb shown in that opening map.

(I think the camera is looking southwest, at the northeast side of the shop.)

Here's an aerial photo of the shop.   And here's a map link.

Next, we see another aerial shot of a suburb, with a string of black mini-vans
converging on a semi-circular street, like so many ants.

But this time the houses are a little fancier than the ones we've seen before.

Not surprisingly, they didn't shoot this one at Stevenson Ranch -
but they didn't shoot it in that map-suburb either.

Instead, they shot it at yet another location in Calabasas: that
semi-circular street is
Mont Calabasas Drive, and the
smaller street (feeding it a mini-van) is
Provence Drive.

(The camera appears to be looking south/southwest.)

It's about a mile north of the coffee shop, and about four miles
northwest of that original map-suburb.

Here's an aerial photo of that intersection. And here's a map link.

Finally, we see several female joggers running on a suburban street.

This was shot in the same neighborhood as the mini-van shot.

In fact, it's on the same main street, Mont Calabasas Drive,
but this time it's about 250 yards farther south, at
Lyon Court.

(The camera is again looking southwest.)

Here is an aerial photo. And here is a map link.
