Filming locations for Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
Part 1

The Actual Southern California Locations where 2003's
"Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" was filmed.

At the start of Terminator 3, the female Terminator (Kristanna Loken) first appears (nude),
and steals a car from the woman at an ATM; that was filmed on Rodeo Drive, in Beverly Hills.
To be specific, it's in front of the Two Rodeo complex. They had to wait six months
for the shoot, because they had to close down the famous street so the actress could
walk nude down the middle of Rodeo Drive...

After the Terminatrix steals the car on Rodeo Drive, she roars off through what
should be the streets of Beverly Hills, and is then pulled over by a police car.
However, that pull-over scene was actually filmed miles away in Culver City, CA,
just a few blocks east of the historic MGM studios (now Sony Studios).

In fact, if you look close, a sign behind them reads "Culver City Fire Department, Station 1",
which is located at 9600 Culver Blvd., right across the street from the old Culver Hotel. )

'Kate Brewster' (Claire Danes) is introduced while shopping at Bloomingdale's
department store. This scene was actually shot at the real Bloomingdale's
in the Century City Shopping Center (10250 Santa Monica Blvd.),
after it closed at night.

The female Terminator drives through a fast food place called Jim's Burgers...

where she shoots one of her victims, the young cashier at the pick-up window...

Jim's Burgers is real. There are a lot of Jim's scattered around L.A., but the one used
in the film is located at 1901 E. 1st Street, in the Boyle Heights area of East L.A.
(The director added the colorful cut-outs and the atomic touches.)
