Teen Wolf Filming Locations

The actual locations where the TV show Teen Wolf is filmed

The Haunted Motel

Most of Episode 6 of Season 3 ("Motel California") takes place at a remote motel,
where the bus full of Beacon Hills High School students stop for the night
(as part of the cross-country road trip  that began in Episode 5).

The episode starts with a flashback to 1977.  We see a bitten man, Alexander Argent, arrive at the motel.

The sign outside reads "Glen Capri Motel", and a
newspaper stand identifies the town as Fairvale, CA.

He checks into a room at the motel, looks out at the full moon, loads a shotgun,
and proceeds to blow his brains out.

When the kids arrive on the bus, the motel clerk tells them that motel has the highest number
of suicides in all of California (198), and it begins to look as if some supernatural force may be
haunting the motel, driving the guests there to kill themselves.

Under the motel's influence, the kids start behaving oddly, hearing voices and having visions
of people who died at the motel.  It appears they are being driven to commit suicide,
and Boyd, Ethan and Scott attempt to do just that - but are saved by their friends.

However, all of the attempted suicides are by werewolves, and Lydia discovers that their
odd behavior was probably caused by wolfsbane powder hidden in the coach's whistle.

For once, they didn't put up a fake sign. But they did fib about the location.

This is the Glen Capri Motel
at 6700 San Fernando Road, in Glendale, CA

( In the photos above, we are looking southeast, at its northwest side. )

Although the motel is technically in the northwest corner of Glendale, most people
would probably think of it as being in Burbank, which is only a few blocks away.

It's proximity to the Burbank studios probably has a lot to do with the fact that the motel
has been the site of a lot of filming over the years, including "The Good Girl",
"The Girl Next Door", "Raising Helen", and "Alpha Dog", as well as the
TV shows "Without a Trace", "Cold Case" and "Saving Grace".

Here is a Google StreetView panorama of the motel:
