Marvel's Agents of SHIELD

The Southern California locations where Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." is filmed.

Episode 1 reaches it's climax at Union Station, with a confrontation between the S.H.I.E.L.D. team
and a desperate Mike Peterson, who has taken Skye hostage as he attempts to flee.

The "Centipede" device which has given Mike superpowers is also about to make him explode,
but he is in no mood to listen to reason, despite Coulson's attempts to talk him down.

These scenes were shot inside and outside of the real Union Station, the central train station for
the City of Los Angeles.  You'll find Union Station at 800 N. Alameda Street, in downtown L.A.

The two photos above were shot in the original 1939 Union Station building, with its familiar blend of
Art Deco and Spanish influences. The building has been featured in countless movies & TV shows.

The two photos below, however, were filmed at the new East Portal of Union Station, which is located
across the railroad tracks from the original building (the two are linked via a long passageway).

The impressive dome ceiling is above the station's East Portal. The mural is on its west wall.
In the photo below, the marksman is aiming southwest at Mike Peterson.

Union Station is located just west of Olvera Street, the historic birth place of the City of Los Angeles.

It's also nearby the restaurant where they filmed the diner scene with Skye and Mike.

Here is a Google StreetView of Union Station.
