Episode 14, of Season 2 ("Love in the Time of Hydra")

0:00: At the start of the episode, we see Grant Ward and Agent 33 (Kira, the
Hydra agent with half of her face messed up) in a diner, ordering dinner.

Ward flirts a bit with the waitress and orders pumpkin pancakes with pecan syrup,
which draws a remark from 33 ("Pancakes for dinner?").

They talk about how she rescued him from Puerto Rico after Skye shot him,
and nursed him back to health.

She replies that after Whitehall was killed, she was "just... lost".

Eventually, as one man in the diner gets up to leave, they spring into action.

In a scene rather shamelessly ripped-off from "Pulp Fiction", the seemingly nice couple
suddenly pull guns on the room full of diners and stage what appears to be a takeover robbery.

But when Agent 33 points a gun at one cowering man, and he offers her his wallet,
she makes it clear that they're not interested in his money -
they plan to kidnap him.

When he asks "Why?", she takes off her sunglasses, revealing her damaged face,
and says "You're going to fix my face".

He turns out to be Dr. Selwyn, inventor of the Nanomask that 33 is wearing.

This is actually Dinah's Family Restaurant,
at 6521 S Sepulveda Blvd., in west Los Angeles.

That's on the border between Culver City and Westchester, near the junction of
the 405 and the Marina del Rey freeways, just east of Hillside Memorial Park,
where another famous Dinah (Dinah Shore) is buried.

( In case you're wondering, no, this is not the same diner where they filmed
"Pulp Fiction".  That one was in Hawthorne, CA, and has been torn down. )

Dinah's opened in 1959, and is known for its fried chicken (making me wonder
if that waitress's comment about fried chicken was an inside reference)
and for their gigantic German apple pancakes.

Here is a Google StreetView of the diner.
