In no time, her arm is turning to stone. May hears her scream and rushes in to help, but it's too late. And in the confusion, Creel has escaped.
This scene was shot at an actual diner, called the Halfway House Cafe. You'll find it at 15564 Sierra Highway, in Santa Clarita, CA. That's about 45 miles north of downtown Los Angeles, It started out in 1931 as a trading post for farmers, ( The cafe has its own website here. ) Here is a Google StreetView of the diner:
