Marvel's Agents of SHIELD - Filming Locations: Cal's Veterinary Clinic

The Southern California locations where Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is filmed.

Episode 21, the Season 2 finale ("S.O.S.")

Near the end of the episode, Skye goes to visit her father, Cal (AKA "Mr. Hyde").
She finds him just opening the doors to the "Winslow's Veterinary Clinic".

It quickly becomes apparent that he believes he's a vet, and doesn't recognize Skye as his daughter.

Skye plays along, and pretends she's passing by, and just curious about the new shop.

He asks her name, and she says "Daisy". He remarks that it's a lovely name.

After they part, Skye walks over to where Coulson is waiting next to his red
Corvette ('Lola'). Coulson's left arm (or what's left of it) is in a sling.

As they discuss things, it becomes clear that S.H.I.E.L.D. has wiped Cal's memory,
using the Tahiti protocol, and has given him a new identity as Dr. Winslow, so
that he can begin a new life, unencumbered by memories of his violent past..

Coulson hands her a binder full of info about S.H.I.E.L.D.'s new effort
to recruit an anonymous team of superpowered people.

This scene was shot in Culver City, CA, near the historic Culver Hotel.

(Look closely and you'll see a green bus pass behind Skye,
bearing white letters reading "Culver".)

Two small side streets around the Culver Hotel have been closed to traffic,
forming a sort of pedestrian plaza. There is a row of storefronts there,
which is where you'll find the "veterinary clinic". They appear to have
used the storefront at 9412 W. Washington Blvd, in Culver City.

That space was once the location of the RKO Cafe, but it appears to be
vacant now, which is probably why they chose to use it.

Next door (to its right), you can see a white storefront featuring a black sign with
white lips; that is a restaurant called "Make Out", at 9426 W Washington Blvd.

And the brick building seen one space over is home to an ad agency
called "High, Wide & Handsome", at 9430 W Washington Blvd.

In the screencap above (with the red Corvette), that gray/blue-colored building seen
in the distance behind them (at 1:53) is the Trader Joe's store, at the northeast
corner of Culver Blvd & Washington Blvd. (The camera is looking northeast.)

(They've used this plaza in the past, in Episode 5 of the first season,
when it was supposed to be Austin Texas.)
