young couple outside a garage, and asks to buy drugs.
The minute
the guy sells him when he asked for, Harry pulls a gun on him and
the police swarm in to make the arrest of both the dealer and his
girlfriend, who turns out to be Dexter's mother, Laura Moser.
Harry later
recruits Laura as a confidential informant (C.I.) in Miami Metro's
attempt to infiltrate the deadly Estrada drug cartel, something that eventually
leads to Laura's horrific murder, and Dexter's dark
transformation.

A. This scene was shot at Mariachi Tires located at 1616 W Adams Blvd, In the West Adams district of Los Angeles.
That's about a mile southeast of the fraternity party house, and about a mile southwest of the interchange of the Harbor (110) and Santa Monica (10) Freeways.
