Q.
What is it supposed to be on the show?
A. A public street.
Q.
Where is it supposed to be on the show?
A. In New York City.
Q. When did we see it on the show?
A. At the end of Episode 7 of Season One of Resurrection.
Batista has just surprised Dexter by showing up at the home of Blessing Kamara, where Dexter lives.
Angel pretends to be friendly in front of Blessing, but both he and
Dexter know his true motives, and the tension builds until Dexter
suggests that he drive Batista home.

The scene cuts to inside Dexter's car, where the two finally confront each other.
Dexter warns Batista to stay away from his home, and particularly from his son.
Batista is defiant, making it clear that he is how to get Dexter.

Dexter eventually pulls the car over and gets serious, telling Angel, in a sinister tone: If I am who you think I am, this can't possibly end well for you.
But Batista, undeterred, replies I'll take my chances.
At that, Dexter kicks him out of the car and drives off, leaving Angel standing at the side of the road.
But it is then revealed that Angel has planted a tracking device in Dexter's car.
Q. What is it actually in real life?
A. A public street, but one beneath an elevated highway (or viaduct).
Q.
Where can I find it in real life?
A. Batista is standing on the west side of 12th Ave, just north of the intersection with 131st St, in West Harlem, New York.
The camera is looking north up 12th Ave.
The arching shapes soaring above him are the supports of the Riverside Drive Viaduct, an elevated highway that runs above 12th Ave, along the Hudson River.
The spot is only a block or two east of the Hudson River, and is about two miles southwest of Yankee Stadium.
( I believe this is the only scene Resurrection shot in West Harlem. The nearest other location is 2 1/2 miles to the south, where they filmed Charley's brownstone. )
Here is a matching StreetView of the street where Batista stood:
Here is an aerial
photo of the location. And here is a map

Q. How the heck did you figure out where it was?
A. When I first saw this scene, I assumed that Batista was standing under a bridge, so my first instinct was to go look at various bridges to see which one matched.
But given how many
bridges there are around Manhattan Island, that sounded like it could
take an inordinate amount of time. So I switched tactics, and began
looking for details down at street level.
After lightening and
sharpening the screencaps in Photoshop, I was able to spot a red awning
on the right side of the street, which read Car Care Center, along
with a partial phone number and a blurry street address.

It took a while, but I eventually tracked it down to a business called 2020 Auto Service Car Care Center, at 2315 12th Ave.
That told me that Batista was standing on 12th Ave, and a look at the map revealed that the elevated roadway above him was Riverside Drive (which runs along the Hudson River).
A little more work with StreetView let me determine exactly where he was standing.
( In case you are wondering why Riverside Drive is elevated high above
12th Ave, that elevated portion of Riverside Drive is known as the
Riverside Drive Viaduct and it was built that way in 1901 in order to
avoid railroad crossings at ground level. Apparently, 12th Ave at the
time was notorious for train accidents, to the point where it was
nicknamed Death Avenue. Riverside Drive avoided that problem by
soaring above it, with the additional benefit of providing a scenic view
of the river. )
