Dexter: Resurrection Filming Locations: Dexter stalks the Dark Passenger killer.

DEXTER: Resurrection Filming Locations - the actual places where the TV show Dexter: Resurrection was filmed.

The Location
: Dexter stalks the Dark Passenger killer.

Q. What is it supposed to be on the show?

A. A city street, and a white office building.

Q. Where is it supposed to be on the show?

A.  Near a bridge inn New York City.

Q. When did we see it on the show?
A. We see this location in Episode 2 of Season 1 of Resurrection.

Dexter is trying to determine  the identity of the Dark Passenger killer.

At this point all he knows is that the killer wears a hoodie, and that he works for a company called Bridge Data Network.  By checking out employee photos on the company website, Dexter guesses that the killer might be a man named Ron Schmidt, who doesn't have a photo.

So Dexter goes to the headquarters of that company, and waits for the employees to leave for the day, and watches them, hoping to spot the killer.

Unfortunately, a large number of the employees are wearing hoodies. But Dexter compares them one by one to the employee photos on the company's website, checking their names to eliminate potential suspects. His stakeout lasts into the night.

Eventually, he spots a man who doesn't match any of the photos, and who is wearing a hoodie. Dexter assumes that may be Ron Schmidt, so he follows him. When Dexter shoots a photo of the man, the photo shows his face obscured by a bright light, the same strategy used by the Dark Passenger killer to obscure his identity.

Q. What is it actually in real life?

A. A city street, and a white office building.

Q. Where can I find it in real life?

A. When we first see Dexter in this scene, he is standing near a large bridge, with a small red brick building on his right side.

That bridge is the Brooklyn Bridge. The camera is looking north/northwest.

The small brick building we first see near the bridge is at 12 Everit St. in Brooklyn.
It’s one street east/southeast of the Brooklyn Bridge.

The white office building used as the “Bridge Data Network” building is at the northeast corner of Everit St. & Doughty St, and is known as “Panorama Brooklyn”. The official address is  25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, but the north side of the building that we see in this scene faces Doughty Street.

( It used to be a major headquarters for the Jehovah Witnesses, but is in the process of being remodeled for a new project .)

Here is a matching StreetView that initial bridge shot:

Here is an aerial photo of the location.  And here is a map link.

Q. How the heck did you figure out where it was?

A. This was relatively simple, since all of these bridge locations are bunched together.

First, I established which bridge we were looking at. Google Images quickly identified it as the Brooklyn Bridge.

Next, I used Google's aerial maps to pinpoint the spot where the camera should have been, and determined it was on Everit Street. StreetView provided a perfect match to confirm that, and provided the address for the small brick building.

I then just followed Dexter's lead a short distance south to the Bridge Data Network building, again getting the exact address from Google Maps.
