Q. What is it supposed to be on the show?
A. A mansion owned by Caroline Bellefleur, grandmother of Portia and Andy Bellefleur.

Q. Where is it supposed to be on the show?

A. In Bon Temps. ?

Q. When did we see it on the show?

A. In Episode 4, of Season 4, "I'm Alive and On Fire".

    Bill is seeing Portia Bellefleur, both as a business partner and a lover, so he goes with her to meet her grandmother, Caroline Bellefleur, at her grand Southern mansion.

    There, they exchange pleasantries, and Bill encounters Sheriff Andy (Portia's brother).

    ( You might recognize the family matriarch as Katherine Helmond, who payed 'Mona' on the popular sitcom "Who's the Boss?" )

    The grandmother is a genealogy buff (at least when it comes to her own family), and she brings out a large book containing a family tree.

    There appears to be some relationship between the Bellefleurs and Bill's family, the Comptons.

    Suddenly, the grandmother looks ill and excuses herself.  Bill abruptly leaves, telling Portia that they can never see each other again.

    Following him out to the porch, Portia demands to know why.

    Bill reluctantly explains that the book shows that he is her great-great-great-great grandfather.

Q. What is it actually, in real life?

A. A large residential home (some might say a mansion).


The location: The Bellefleur Mansion


Q. Where can I find it in real life?

A. This beautiful home is actually far from Louisiana - and the South (unless you count Southern California).

You'll find it in Los Angeles, in the exclusive neighborhood known as Hancock Park.

The address is 526 S. Rimpau Blvd.

That's on the east side of Rimpau, three houses north of 6th Street.

Not surprisingly, the home is located within walking distance of the mansion where Prince William & Kate stayed during their 2011 visit to Los Angeles (at 450 S. June).
