Q. What is it supposed to be on the show?
A. An accident
scene at an intersection.
Q. Where is it supposed to be on the show?
A. Somewhere
in Newport Beach.
Q. When did we see it on the show?
A. In Episode
22 (of season two), "The Showdown", when Kirsten (sinking into
alcoholism) drives drunk and gets into a bad traffic accident, which puts
her in the hospital.
Q. What is it actually in real life?
A. An intersection,
but nowhere near Newport.
Q. Where can I find it in real life?
A. The accident was staged at the intersection of Colorado Blvd. and N. Maywood Ave., in the Eagle Rock section of Los Angeles (between Glendale & Pasadena).
The nearest address is 2101 Colorado Blvd. (that's Tru-Vu Auto Glass, which can be seen in the background of the scene). Kirsten is driving south on Maywood, and the truck that hits her is heading east on Colorado.

Q. How the heck did you figure out where it was?
A. When you
freeze frame and zoom in on the scene, a street sign reading "Colorado"
is visible. Of course, there are streets named Colorado in other cities
(including Santa Monica), but you can also see a building with the words
"Tru-Vu Glass" and "Auto Specialty" on the side, and
a quick Google search found that business on Colorado Blvd in Echo Park.
A really close inspection of another frame brings out a dark street sign
that reads "Maywood".
