WHAT: SPECIAL SCREENING OF COLUMBIA PICTURES' "The New Guy"
Nerdy high school senior Dizzy Harrison ("Road Trip's" DJ
Qualls) has finally gotten lucky. Thanks to an unlikely role
model ("Deuce Bigalow's" Eddie Griffin), he's got a second
chance to be the guy with no past in "The New Guy," a
hilarious story about wiping the slate clean and reinventing
yourself. Locked in the pen for an array of misdeeds at his
old school, Dizzy learns the art of intimidation and other
fine points of "prison cool" from fellow inmate Luther
(Griffin). This mismatched duo joins forces, ultimately
transforming geeky dud Dizzy into the hip, studly "Gil
Harris." Transferred to a new school after his release, "Gil"
destroys the popularity-obsessed social system, boosts school
morale and wins the heart of Danielle ("Bring It On's" Eliza
Dushku), the gorgeous girl-next-door. Life as the new guy is
great -- or is it?
