"Luminarias" Star-Studded Premiere to Take Place On May 3, 2000 in Downtown LA.

Celebrities confirmed to attend as of April 25th are Scott Bakula, Evelina Fernandez, Jimmy Smits, Edward James Olmos, Julie Carmen, Gregory Nava, Moctezuma Esparza, Esai Morales, Bill Pullman, Dyana Ortelli, Lupe Ontiveros, Seidy Lopez, Angela Moya, Liz Torres, Marta Dubois, Sal Lopez.

    WHO:       Luminarias, an English-language film directed by Jose Luis
               Valenzuela, is a romantic comedy staring Evelina Fernandez,
               Scott Bakula, Dyana Ortelli, Angela Moya and Marta DuBois and
               featuring Robert Beltran, Seidy Lopez, with cameos by Cheech
               Marin, Lupe Ontiveros and Liz Torres.  Produced by Sal Lopez.

               Luminarias is a fresh alternative.  This is not the typical
               movie that stereotypes Latinos.  On the contrary, Luminarias
               portrays contemporary Latinas -- four professional Chicanas in
               their roles as lovers, family members, friends and
               professionals struggling with prejudice.
