Seeing Stars: Movie Premieres

PRESS RELEASE

Hollywood Celeb celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday by creating scholarships for underprivileged youth.

John Marshall Jones from Nickelodeon’s new hit series “The Troop” and “The Smart Guy” is starring in a film premier/fundraising event of “The Guest at the Central Park West” by award winning writer Levy Lee Simon on Monday, January 18, 2010 in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King at the Writers Guild Theatre, 135 S. Doheny Dr., Beverly Hills, CA 90211.

This innovative ‘stage to screen’ presentation rose from a church basement in Harlem to sweep New York’s most prestigious African American Theatre Awards – Best Actor, Best Playwright and Dramatic Production of the Year. Come join us as we honor Dr.King with former Audelco and Diversity Award winners and other known celebrities. This glamorous old style Hollywood event and Broadway style cabaret presentation will take the audience on a journey from the golden Era of Hollywood to the power of Theatre to transform our lives.

"The Guest at Central Park West" is both a film premier and a noble effort to raise funds for the MMPA (Multicultural Motion Picture Association) educational scholarship fund and the Mastering The Audition Scholarship Fund each of which creates scholastic opportunities and vocational training for underprivileged film makers and storytellers while attracting a diverse number of Hollywood Stars.
