Seeing Stars: Movie Premieres

PRESS RELEASE

THE COMEBACK KIDS TELEVISION PILOT SCREENING,

RED CARPET & CHARITY EVENT

 IN LOS ANGELES FEBRUARY 17

RPJ Productions presents the pilot presentation screening of its new comedy, The Comeback Kids, featuring a cast of stars from the 60's, 70's and 80's.

RPJ Productions will use this opportunity to raise awareness for Thirst Project

Pulling their creative talents together, writer Ryan Paul James (The Highroad, What If, Rewind) and director Brian Baugh (The Butterfly Circus, An American Carol, The Ultimate Gift), bring a brilliantly-funny and talented cast together in a new family comedy, The Comeback Kids.

The Comeback Kids chronicles the day to day challenges of former 80's child stars Richie Eisenberg (Richard Horvitz, Summer School) and Gary Fischer (Dean Cameron, Summer School) as they attempt to revive their careers only to find that Gary's long-time agent, played by  five-time Golden Globe-nominee Gavin MacLeod (Kelly's Heroes, McHale's Navy, Pork Chop Hill, Mary Tyler Moore, The Love Boat), is retiring and turning over the agency to his son, played by Scott Schwartz (A Christmas Story, Toy Solider), who wants to work with "bigger" stars.  Confronting the anxiety of possibly being washed up, Richie and Gary team up to resurrect their once successful careers.

Making cameos in the pilot are; Bernie Kopell, as the producer (Get Smart, The Love Boat), award-winning Keith Coogan, as himself (Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, Toy Soldier, Cheetah, Adventures in Babysitting), three-time Emmy-nominee Melissa Disney, as crazed super-fan Debbie (As Told By Ginger, Hot in Cleveland), Thomas F. Evans, as the stage manager (Criminal Minds, Shameless, The Office), and Erin Murphy, as herself (Bewitched).

Future episodes may include;  thirteen-time Award-winning Penny Marshall (Laverne & Shirley), Emmy Award-winning Mariette Hartley (Ride the County High,  Marnie, One Life to Live), Golden Globe and five-time Primetime Emmy Award-winning Tim Conway (The Carol Burnett Show), Kathy Garver (Family Affair, The Ten Commandments), 1983's Young Artist Award-winning and two-time Golden Globe-nominee Aileen Quinn (Annie, The Frog Prince), Eve Plumb (The Brady Bunch, Blue Ruin, Fudge), two-time Young Artist Award-winning Lark Voorhies (Saved By The Bell), Annie Wood (My Sister's Keeper, Numbers), Rising Star Award-winning Ronnie Marmo (General Hospital, West of Brooklyn, Pizza With Bullets), Adam Rich (Eight is Enough), Johnny Whitaker (Family Affair, Tom Sawyer), and many more to be announced.
