In the first season, they filmed the scene of the police discovering a dismembered body arranged under a Christmas tree at the Village. In the third season, they filmed a fake restaurant scene on the boardwalk nearby. They used one of the local cafes for the scene where Dexter set up Miguel's brother, Ramon. And they have
filmed several scenes inside the bar at Tequila
Jack's.

link. Q. How the heck did you figure out where it was? A. I was actually there when they filmed this scene. They were filming in public, the boardwalk wasn't blocked off, and they only stopped shoppers from walking between their lights and the storefront when the cameras were actually rolling. Likewise, the
small enclosed mall area (seen behind the kid) was also open to pedestrians,
so I took a brief stroll there to observe the goings-on. The windows
on the mall side provided a good view of the interior...
