A. This is Ocean Boulevard, the main coastal route of Long Beach, CA., that runs for miles along the beach, between downtown and the peninsula.
They shot this scene with the car headed east on Ocean Blvd, along the coast in the Belmont shore area -- from the 4900 block to the 5300 block of E. Ocean Blvd, roughly a mile stretch between St. Joseph (on the northwest) and Bay Shore (on the southeast) Avenues.

the number of apartment houses, I first searched Hollywood, around the
studio, but quickly realized that the streets there don't have green
grass dividers (which is seen in the scene). Since I knew that
they had filmed near the Olympic Pool, and at Bay Shore park, and
knowing how much they like to cluster-shoot in the same general ar
Once I took a look
at the Google StreetView, I was pretty sure it was the right street, I
just needed to find the same apartment houses that matched those seen in
the driving scene. It took a little time, but the first one I
found was the most obvious: that Arabian looking apartment house, which turned out to be the Seashore apartments, at 4915 Ocean. That confirmed that they filmed on the street, and it was then just a matter of time before I hunted down the remaining matching buildings.
